In reply to your note of the 31st January, addressed

to the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury, enclosing a letter from Lieut. Commander Haslewood, in regard to the

system of Mui Tsai in Hong Kong, I am desired by Mr. Amery

to refer you to the replies which he gave in the House of

Commons on the 4th February to various questions on this

subject.
